Booking for January 2027
Booking for the January 2027 SQE1 closes on 23 November 2026. For this sitting the SRA used a seat reservation process before booking opened, and the reservation deadline has passed. The SRA's January 2027 SQE1 page explains how booking works now and what to do if you did not reserve a seat.
What changes from January 2027
From the January 2027 sitting, each FLK assessment has 170 single best answer questions instead of 180. You answer them in two sessions of 85 questions, and each session still lasts 2 hours 33 minutes. Each session covers a set group of subjects, with questions on those subjects in a mixed order. The change applies to first-time candidates and resitters. Read the SRA's announcement for the detail.
